Demolition crews from Reclaim Company LLC, of Fairmont were on site Thursday morning to begin tearing down Weirton Heights Elementary School, one of three schools recently replaced by the new Weirton Elementary School. Broadview Elementary already has been demolished, with Liberty Elementary set to be torn down in the coming weeks. The demolition of the schools was a condition of the 2010 bond levy which resulted in the construction of the new elementary school, two new football stadiums and various other upgrades throughout the county.
